Greats and Grands in Rexburg

As I went back and looked at the dates on photos, I realized that April 1, 2023 wasn't foolery at all--it was a gift!  This was the day we drove up to Rexburg, Idaho to see Great-Grandma Norma Hansen.  At 97 years of age, Norma has more grandchildren and great-grandchildren than I can count.  In fact, she even has two great-great grandchildren!  Here she is with two grands, four greats and me.

We had the chance to watch part of General Conference from her comfy living room.

Conference breakfasts are the best!  The cinnamon rolls were particularly delectable.  Many thanks to Christy and Susie.

Later in the day. we went on an excursion to see the progress on the Burley Temple.

In need of nourishment, we then enjoyed some excellent pizza from Portside Pizza and Pub.  The best part, however, was watching Grandma shoot some pool.

Thanks for welcoming us so warmly, Norma!

Back in Hyde Park, we enjoyed the rest of conference weekend with Charles, Susie, and Christy.  As you might guess, the treats were stellar.

The Legos were likewise on par, especially with Grandpa Charles on the job.

Here's Christy making croissants from scratch.  Since they take a while to prove, we ended up baking ours at home.  They were amazing--just check out all the lamination.  Three cheers for butter!

Back to Hyde Park, Grandpa Charles's orchid farm was thriving...

...but the most fun was the falling snow outside.  Here are Eli and Annika working on a snowman.

Christy joins the winter fun.  This doesn't happen often in Phoenix.

The final creation--a cute snowperson walking their snowdog.  Turns out that long stick is actually a leash.  April Fools!
