Hmmm ... I can understand your bias towards John Deere since you are located so close to Moline, IL. And I do think John Deere now makes the classiest tractors ... but that was not always true. In my growing up years we used Farmall (Int'l Harvestor) equipment. These red tractors worked and sounded better than the old John Deere "putt-putt" model tractors that featured hand clutches. It wasn't until John Deere rolled out its famed 4010 series that it took a decided edge in family farm tractor fueds. Just my 2 cents ... Oh, and I have seen signs inscribed with "Friends don't let friends drive green tractors" displayed right alongside signs with the opposite language. This is America ... "anything to make a buck" ... at least that was the case until the big economic sinkhole we fell into a year ago.
