Dark Skies in Torrey

In mid-October Jason took Eli on a brief work trip to Torrey, Utah, arriving super late at night.  From the look of things, the next morning Eli slept in.

They bunked at Marcie's place--a professional colleague of Jason.  ASSIST had stayed there once before while helping to build a ramp.

Gorgeous view!

Jason was presenting at a conference all about Dark Skies.  Apparently Torrey is one of the best places around for watching the stars.

Here's our little engineer Eli diligently studying the telescope details.

Jason is involved with the design of a future observatory here.

Jason keeps talking about how Torrey would be a great place to acquire land.

I think Torrey's close proximity to Capitol Reef is its best selling point by far.

So glad the men of our family could have some together time in such a stunning place.

Next time I hope we all can join.
