March Miscellaneous

March Miscellaneous.  After a year in hibernation, our amaryllis blossomed.  It shot up so tall that at first we thought we might be growing a palm tree.

Eli is likewise shooting up in height and has officially surpassed his mom.  One March afternoon he and I went for a WINDY hike.

Annika participated in a several Girl Scout cookie booths.  The Smiths on 6th Avenues definitely had the best sales.  People were lining up to get more cookies.

The Wilhoits introduced us to Sabor Latino with their amazing pupusas and chicken soup.  Yum!

Eli didn't even have to adjust his hair when dressing like a mad scientist for Spirit Week.

We reconnected with Make-a-Wish when Jersey Mike's kindly donated 100% of their proceeds for a Day of Giving.

Annika helped pass out cookies to customers as a Wish Kid representative, but really was the one spoiled with treats and Wings of Fire books.

Thank you Jersey Mike's!

A couple days later Annika and Jason went to the recording studio for a Make-a-Wish interview with Meredith and AJ in the Morning.  What a cool experience!

It turns out that Meredith loves dolphins too, so much that she has a dolphin tattoo on her foot!

The recordings turned out super cute.  Below is the short promo.

And here is a link to the longer interview.  Fast forward to minute 10:25 if you just want to hear Jason and Annika.

Jason and his coworkers all went to Arkansas for a week in March to help with a community build.  Originally they were going to call it a work-retreat, but after an entire week of framing 10-12 hours a day, they decided it was far more work than retreat.  Still, they had a great time and accomplished SO much.

The Swiftie in our home was thrilled when the Eras Tour was released for streaming in March.  She made bracelets and tattooed Jason so that we could all watch the three hour show together.  Here's Jason's sleepy face the next morning.  I have a few imprints of the number 13 on our pillows as well.

Jason may not be running quite as much as he would like, but loved getting out with his great friend Bruce.  Bruce, Brittney, and their family will be moving to Rexburg soon so that Bruce can run teach dairy science at BYU Idaho.  Cache Valley will miss you, but Idaho is a lucky state!

Last but not least, Jason had a birthday in March.  Happy, happy birthday Bishop!

Brooklyn surprised everyone by taking the Frontrunner home.  Best birthday present ever!

She even created this beautiful card for her Dad, made all the more special by a few rain streaks.

Party time with Charles, Susie, the Millcreek Wheelers, and the Wilhoits.  So fun!

Happy birthday, amor.  You brighten our world.  We love you!
