February Farrago

Farrago (n).  A confused mixture: a hodgepodge.

Merriam-Webster has it just about right for this conglomeration of February photos.  What better way to start the month of romance than with a wedding?  As bishop, Jason hasn't officiated over as many marriages as funerals, but the score is getting closer.  Congratulations to this beautiful couple!

As for Talia, her Galentine crush was most certainly Taylor Swift.  This Swiftie is rather obsessed, and even saved up enough money to buy her vinyls and a Victrola record player.  If anyone has a spare ticket to one of Taylor's shows hanging around, let me know.

As for Annika, she still loves all creatures great and small.  She made this horse in her sewing class.  I love the colorful mane.

Mango loves (loved?) to hang out.  Still miss you, sweet beardie.

Meanwhile, Eli adores skiing.  Unfortunately we couldn't up the canyon this Friday afternoon because there was no parking.  It's amazing how a powder day draws out the crowd.  Not to be thwarted, we just pulled to the side of the road and had a delightful time playing in the deep snow drifts instead.

As for Jason, he loves both family and food.

The very best is when you can combine both.  Thank you for the absolutely delicious meal, Susie!

This February I was enamored with my newest niece.  Can't get enough Pickles love!

Brooklyn loves frisbee and friends.  It was so fun to visit her at BYU and appreciate the beauty she has created there.

She really loves her family too.  She even bought us all ice cream with her dining dollars.  :)

We all love the temple.

The day before its demolition, we all went to see the Provo Temple across from the MTC.  So many memories here--it's hard to see this loss, especially for Jason who particularly appreciated its distinctive architectural style.  Our appreciation to the person who left this commemorative sticker on our dashboard.

I'll miss walking past the temple grounds where Jason and I first kissed.  💗

First comes love, then comes marriage...  Let's just that our children are indebted as well.

Speaking of family, we happened to run into Jason's cousin Jamie, her husband Josh, and their children as well.  Josh is now teaching religion at BYU.  I'm grateful how often life brings us together in unexpected ways.

A couple of photos in front of the Bountiful Temple with our friends, Sonja and Brian Blackham.

Final February loves: my hard-working and compassionate husband, full of goofy jokes, warm hugs, and a passion for surround sound.

Our children are growing up!  Neither Eli nor Annika own airpods or i-phones yet, but the day is quickly coming.  In the meantime, we bribe them away from technology with spicy hand-fired pizza from Settebello.

I'm grateful for the home we've made in Salt Lake.  This is the Place.  Literally.  As in that's where we took these photos and met the friendliest, woolliest sheep around.

Life may be a complicated farrago, but I'm grateful we can work through the beautiful mess together.
