Lake George Day 6: Take a Hike!

Day 6 at Lake George, and they haven't even kicked us out!  They did, however, encourage us to take a hike.

Ever the overachiever, Talia took the advice seriously and started the day with an eighteen mile run.  Or was it twenty?  I forget.  Either way, this kid was marathon ready!

As for Annika, she wasn't going anywhere without Rosie.  I'm so glad we had a pup at the lake, especially since we were missing Addy, Rondack, and Zoe.

Ryan and Greg were excited to go, but not until after they got a little skiing in.  Check out Greg on his wakeboard!

Before long, we loaded into the minivans and drove around to Shelving Rock falls.  (It's fun to boat there too, but we couldn't fit everyone.)  Adam in particular looks ready for adventure!

Made it!

When Brooklyn was first born, NomiAnn wasn't quite sure how she felt about being a grandma.  I'm pretty sure she likes it now.

As for Janet, I think she likes being the mom of some pretty spectacular kids.  Alison too.

Adorable couple photos coming right up.

Siblings too.

Gathering the whole crew for another photo.  Pretty spectacular backdrop!

Warning!  This hiking route contains some major road blocks.  You take the high road and I'll take the low road.  (Hey Callie and Janet, maybe you should have switched roads...)

Have walking stick, will travel.

Under this bridge is often a great place to find newts, but they were hiding today.  I still remember when Uncle Jay came to visit Callie and I with a couple of newts hidden in his shirt pocket.  Best present ever!

Best parents ever.  Love you Mom and Dad!

It makes my heart happy to see this heart happily running.  More adventures to be had, so keep on thumping!
