Lake George Day 5: Picture Perfect

Okey dokey.  It occurs to me that if I'm ever going to get caught up on this blog, I'm going to have to move a little faster.  On to Day 5 in Lake George: picture perfect!  Katelyn joined us for our morning jog.

When we got back to the house we discovered that the stove wasn't working.  The sparks suggested an electrical problem.  Fortunately, charcoal doesn't need electricity.  Real men grill bacon.  Lake George Bacon.

Also, when it comes to electric, I know a guy.

While the bacon was grilling, others headed to the waterfront to enjoy the beautiful morning.

Cousin Kate!  At last, a happy picture.

And here's her amazing pup, Rosie.

These cuties spent so many blissful hours fishing off the dock.

Annie, it's pretty adorable how Anders looks up to you.

Brunch time!  Waffle day is the most celebrated of all the Lake George breakfasts.

Three cheers for the chefs!

"Hey Mom, how come the bacon doesn't taste this good at our house?"

I told you, this day was Picture Perfect.

It was also the perfect time for ski lessons.  Knees bent, arms straight, lean back!

Anders and Eila, your form is looking sharp.

It's a little trickier in the water, but everyone was a great sport.  It always takes a few seasons to get the knack.

Now tubing, that they mastered right from the get-go.  Thanks for hauling them around, Papa Kay!

Fascinated by a stowaway Daddy Long Legs.

Now for some swim platform fun.

Shifting the battle to dry land.  On guard!

And at last, puppy pics!  Meet Rosie and her Dad, Nick.  They are both awesome.

Here's Rosie greeting Emily and Alex.

We all need a Rosie in our lives.

Finally, family pictures!  We only had a few hours with both Ryan (Katelyn's boyfriend) and Jason, so we made sure to snag photos while we could.  Don't the Lake George shirts look fantastic?  We sure missed Jeanette, but were delighted to have everyone else gathered.  Representing New York, Nebraska, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Utah--this was pretty monumental.  We have from left to right starting in the back: Adam, Jason, Ryan, Alison, Janet, Kay, Nick, Alex, (middle row): Kara, Katelyn, Brooklyn, Cathy, Kathryn, Emily, (front row): Eli, Callie, Talia, Anders, Greg, Alesia, Eila, Rosie, and Annika.  That's 23 if you count the pup!

We lose Rosie but gain Papa Kay's hat.

Silly shots!

Now in front of the house.  Glad Rosie is back.

Here we have the LaFroscia's: Nick, Kate, Alison, Alex, and Emily.  Emily, looking at this picture I had to smile at how well you coordinate with the shirt.  Horizontal blue and yellow stripes in your sandals, followed by the perfect two shades of pink hair.  Must be meant to be.  :)

Here are the Wilhoits.  Perfect staircase!  Enjoy--those kids quickly grow and surpass you.

Juggling kids isn't easy.

Now for our Wheeler crew.  We couldn't pass up the chance for another pyramid.  Maybe some day I'll get around to updating the blog header.

NomiAnn and Papa Kay with all their grandkids.  Retirement life must seem pretty sweet in this moment.

Now for a passel of cousins.  What a crew!

Last but not least, the Wells crew.  Thank you for sharing so many beautiful moments with us in this special place.  There aren't words to express how much your inclusion means to us.  These memories shape us every day in the closeness we feel to your family, even across the miles.

Also Jeanette, if I had the skills, I would photoshop your beautiful mug right here!  We really did think of you often.

Love to everyone, and thank you!
