Regional Cross Country, Stewart Falls, and Lighting the Y

We've been having so much fun lately that keeping up with the blog has been tricky (forget catching up!)  But hey, I'm not yet a week behind.  This is how I spent last Tuesday--one of the best Tuesdays ever!

After taking care of chores in the morning, Zion and I drove down to Provo and picked up Talia after class.  She was happy to see me and delighted to see her dog.

Together we drove to Orem to watch Eli compete in Regionals for Cross Country.  Our speedy little guy was running varsity for West High.

Best of all, he runs with a smile!

In the end, Eli came in 4th out of West's varsity runners, helping to secure the team a spot at the State championships.  Congratulations Eli!

As stage 2 of this perfect day, Christy and I hiked Stewart Falls.  She'd also come to cheer Eli at Cross Country.  Meanwhile Talia headed back to campus to get some homework done.  Because you know, college.

Both the falls and the leaves were spectactular.

Zion loved getting out as well.

For the final act, I reconnected with Talia and we hiked the Y as part of BYU's Homecoming week.  Such pretty views, but gosh, I forgot how steep!

Love Love LOVE this gal!

Hanging out at the Y as we wait for dark to fall.

Lighting the Y.  Talia, you shine!  Now go Cougs!
