Catsolotl

Not a lot to share except that I am giddy with excitement to see my grown-up girls!  Talia is coming Saturday so we can celebrate her birthday.  Then, our Hermana Brooklyn Wheeler flies home from Spain on December 10th!  We can't wait to see our missionary.  Just the anticipation makes every day feel extraordinary.  I know sweet Brooklyn is trying hard not to count down the days, but we can't help but count for her.  Leaving will feel bittersweet for her, but on this end it feels like pure joy.

Back to the more mundane, Jason has been working hard on the house in preparation for having it repainted.  Keeping up with the ivy alone is a big task. Unfortunately there are even bigger things that need done that involve heavy pieces of lumber and extremely long ladders.  Ten cuidado, mi amor!  We love you and your limbs in tact.

The only other interesting pic is this one of Annika sporting the mask she made during play therapy.  Can you guess what creature?  (Hint, it's an invented hybrid.)

Meet the catsolotl.  This girl makes every day so fun with her creativity!

As for Eli, I wish I had a picture of him in the robotics lab.  Most of West High skipped school today to cheer their football team at semi-regionals, but Eli decided to stay so that he could have six hours of uninterrupted build time.  Sure love our boy!

And me?  Well, my day can be summed up by all the pictures of ventilators and pulse oximetry readings that I use for charting.  Not particularly exciting, but my job is meaningful and I am grateful for it.  I wish I could share photos of the darling kids I care for, but that would be an egregious HIPAA violation.  You'll just have to imagine some sparkling eyes and toothy smiles.  Plus, being non-verbal, they never talk back!  Life is good.
