Wednesday Morning Laughs

Annika is still on a kick where she adds "-ie" to everything.  Maybe it's because her name is Annika and we call her Annie?  Either way, it's pretty endearing.  Yesterday I jotted down a couple instances:  "Can I have a kissy?" and "I want to play in the muddy mud."  She also talks about how she wants everything, mostly fantastical.  For example, she had a whole conversation about how she wanted to fly and sit on the clouds.  Me too, sweetie.  Me too.  My favorite though, was when we were at the zoo and she told me that she wanted to ride on the back of the alligator.  Kickback from the alligator decoy at our Michigan vacation?  Either way, not a good idea.

I have tons of new pictures to share our Salt Lake home and adventures, but to make it through hump day, I thought I'd share these instead.  Jason took them from the men's room at Jimmy John's in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

So what's your style?  Never mind, I don't wanna know.

Sad Day Milkweed!

I question the long term value of some of these images on your blog. If you must know, I once won a "distance contest" while at a boy scout camp out. It is a good thing I remain anonymous and that it was so long ago that nobody remembers, or cares, or is around to confirm. Bye, Bye!

Overachiever.

Listen ... "there is nothing as powerful as the truth." Along with achieving my Eagle Scout rank, and earning my Duty to God award, I informally consider being the "distance contest" winner to be a high water mark in my BSA program experience. Thankfully, there is no merit badge for that. Also, there is no lasting value for living in the past. Now in my weak stream 60's the glory days are a fading memory. Over and out ... no more potty humor for me today! Keep Smiling!

Some mental images just can’t be forgotten...
