Easter Loveliness

Okay, can I vent for a moment? Just wanted to let you all know that I *loathe* the new photo upload on blogger. (I'd use the word "hate", but it's not allowed in our house.) I can't compose while my pictures are uploading, I can't ensure that they will upload in any particular order unless I upload one at a time, I can't specify the size or position in advance, and they all come massed together in one giant clump that I end up separating in HTML code. I tried to give it a few weeks to see if I could uncover some redeeming virtue, but I just can't see any improvement. So blogger, when it comes to this unrequested "upgrade," you receive failing marks in my book. Just saying.

Even though loading pictures may be particularly annoying as of late, I'd still like to post some pictures of Easter since our Daddy couldn't be there with us. The Easter celebration began on Friday with an egg hunt at our neighbor's house.
Eli, concentrating on finding eggs.  I love how he sticks his tongue out, just like his Mom!

Brooklyn coaches Eli through the process.

Part of the "big kid" hunt in the backyard, Brooklyn walked away with eleven dollar bills!  Hard for the Easter bunny to compete with that.  :)

Talia joins in the hunt

Many thanks to Daniel and Karen for the fantastic evening!

On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs. Lovely weather, lovely colors!

Eli prefers to work from his tabletop perch.
Talia patiently waits for her eggs to dye.
Almost done!
Artists hard at work!
Brooklyn focusing on her masterpiece.
So Brooklyn, what's going on in the brilliant brain of yours?
Everything is better with a touch of glitter.
Annika napped most of the time, at least until we stashed her in the grass as the cutest Easter egg ever.

Easter morning, we had a special surprise. Aunt Callie came to visit for the week! We celebrated with a lovely breakfast of baked french toast (aka decadent bread pudding).
Hooray for Aunties!  Here's Callie getting to know her newest niece.
Loving the bedhead, Talia!
Nummy!  We haven't enjoyed this dish since the morning after Annie Mae was born.
Callie shared the totally awesome Wilhoit tradition of peep jousting. You arm two peeps with a toothpick and stick them in the microwave to battle. The first peep to poke the other wins.
Ready to joust!
And the aftermath.  Our peeps ended up toppling before they ever managed to stab each other.  I guess we need more practice...
All too soon, it was time for church. We hurried to doll ourselves up as best we could, and snapped a few Easter photos after.
Callie and Annika, adorable in their matching yellow.  Annie Mae spends most Sundays swaddled in this sling.
When we got home from church, we discovered Polly our Easter bunny had hidden a few eggs.
Milkweed and her munchkins.
Brooklyn seems as happy to hold Annika as Annika seems to be held.
Posing with Aunt Callie--and a stick.
Thanks to Papa Kay and NomiAnn for the lovely matching Easter dresses.
Annie Mae absorbs the fun from her Bumbo perch.
And my favorite photo of all--the ladies in yellow.
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter!

Hope I'm not repeating myself. I commented, then think I lost it, so will try again! Will I never learn?
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Easter & blessing pictures, as well as your lovely "newborn baby" sentiments. I throughly agree! And Jason - Happy belated birthday! Love you all!!

I'm so jealous of the sunshine you post your pictures in, coloring eggs, and that baby's head of hair is amazing! Darling dresses too. Eli's pretty cute too:)

Looks like the kids had a lot of fun for their Easter day. Annika still looks like an adorable baby doll in all the photos. I have to remind myself that she's real!

Not sure how I missed seeing this post for a few days, but it looks like you guys had an absolutely lovely Easter! Wish I could have been there with you, but at least I had the chance to dye Easter eggs with your Uncle Jay, Aunt Janet, and cousins as a consolation prize... After which the cousins hid the eggs for us old fogies to find. (Truth is, we probably could have hidden them quite successfuly from ourselves, but the cousins had a riot watching us search in vain for the 3 dozen eggs we dyed!)
