No, but I have a penguin on my shirt!

Yesterday our entire family took an outing to the post office to get passports for the girls. (Stay tuned for an exciting post in a couple of weeks explaining why these passports were--or were not--needed.) It was definitely an adventure with all of the paperwork, photos, birth certificates, etcetera--not to mention the outrageous fees! The most memorable moment, however, came when the postal worker turned to Brooklyn and asked, "Do you swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information on these forms is truthful and accurate, to the best of your knowledge?"

Without skipping a beat, Brooklyn responded, "No, but I have a penguin on my shirt."

Fortunately, her uncharacteristic reply was good enough to pass muster. So look out world, here we come! :)

Kevin and couldn't stop laughing. I think next time I'm at US customs I'll try an answer like that.

Leave it up to a 3 year old to get things accomplished. That was probably the most entertaining response that postal worker has ever heard while at work.
That sure is a cute comment. By the way - I love Brooklyn's hair in those slide pictures

It was great to relive some of those fun moments from last week! Brooklyn's hair is quite electrifying!

So...do they have to ask that question to everyone, or were they just having fun? They got their money's worth, at any rate.
