Heber Creeper and Pie Face

When Eli's baptism weekend was over, most of the family departed, but Papa Kay got to hang around for a few more days, retired soul that he is.  ;)  While he was here, we all took a ride on the Heber Creeper for Family Home Evening.

It's always best to arrive a bit early.  Otherwise you miss the Wild West gun fight between the sheriff and outlaws.

Our friend Kate, visiting from DC, joined us for the fun.  Kate was out in Utah for the weekend as a guest speaker for the Utah League of Cities and Towns.

Talia looks excited!  Maybe she knows that hot dogs and popcorn will soon be coming her way.

Heber Valley certainly is stunning.

What a great ride for our birthday boy!

For Eli, even more exciting than the Heber Creeper was the start of Cub Scouts.  Eli is the proudest wolf that ever there was.

As for me, I'm pretty ecstatic that they gave us a uniform shirt with presewn insignia.  Fantabulous.

Last but not least, Eli got to try out his new birthday present from Uncle Justin and Aunt Brianna--Pie Face.

Messy, but tasty!  Thanks for the awesome gift.
