If you hop on over to Ginny, you might spy these adorable bunnies that Talia crocheted. (She photographs them carefully for her Etsy page.)
But do you know what's even more fun than Easter in the Avenues? Easter in Hyde Park! We dyed Easter eggs.
We then turned those eggs into deviled bunnies.
We opened Easter baskets. (The big surprise? Tickets for all to see Les Mis!)
Grandma Susie even painted Annika's nails with the most adorable bunny pattern.
We watched General Conference.
We roasted hot dogs.
And of course, we had an Easter egg hunt! You can tell this mama is getting a little worn out as she ages. She now bribes the older kids to hide the eggs. I also never got out the Easter decorations, knowing we'd be in Hyde Park. No regrets.
Annika found some eggs in this woodpile, but was even more excited about the snakes that live there as well. Grandpa Charles is less thrilled about the legless squatters.
Speaking of Grandpa Charles, he and Grandma Susie did the most amazingly kind thing for me the week before Easter. Knowing that the kids were out on Spring Break but that my classes were still intense, they invited them all to stay in Hyde Park. I missed the kids dearly, but this was such a blessing. They would have been bored to tears with me at home. Instead, they got to scale the new play structure at the park Grandpa Charles is developing. It definitely inspires kids to lift their sights high!
