Well, Tanja--you guessed it right. The surprise carolers that showed up on our doorstep Christmas Eve eve were our "New York cousins." The Wells Family who drove all the way from Long Island to spend the holiday together. I can't even begin to describe how utterly astonished and completely delighted we were to see them all. I will forever and always cherish the memory.
There's a lot that I'd like to write, but it's so late that a few pictures will have to suffice for the time being. One morning my father took the kids with him for their trademark bonding time--breakfast at Burger King. While the munchkins were gone, we big kid cousins had a photo shoot in the backyard.
In case you didn't recognize the participants, we have:
Amazing Alesia |
Gregarious Gregory |
Kaptivating Katelyn (okay, that's cheating, but as a fellow "K" name I know how scarce kool adjectives are to come by.) |
Neon Nette (So her hair isn't quite as florescent as over the summer, but her personality still glows.) |
Plus all the way from Washington by way of Middle-earth we have:
Charismatic Callie |
Admirable Adam |
and last but not least,
Zesty Zoe. |
The man in the frog hat is my husband.
Jambalaya Jason |
We're both kind of quirky. It works.
Kooky Kara |
And just for kicks and giggles, here's one last photo of the entire crew (minus Jason who was working. Fortunately, he's the one most capable of photoshopping himself into the memory.)
I'll post more pictures later. As Papa K was one of many who joined the Soggy Bottom club, I promise that they should be good. :)
Happy New Year!

Love that you gave up sleep two nights in a row to share. What a fun surprise!
Funny pictures :) Happy New Year 2014 :) I wish you a big family reunion at the most southern part of Jason's mission (at least back then the Bahamas were part of the New York Mission - I don't know if this is still true .) :) :)
